Capitol Hill is the part of Seattle that never sleeps.  This dynamic neighborhood is also the most diverse.  The residents range from the young and the restless out on their own for the first time, to established, settled seniors-many of whom have long-standing ties to the neighborhood.

Living options range from classic brick and modern condominiums to turn-of-the-century remodeled craftsman and bungalow properties. There are sprawling views over the Sound, the Olympic Mountains and jaw-dropping sunset views. For open grassy fields, go to Volunteer Park, a rollicking area that includes a reservoir with a running track, a greenhouse, an Asian art museum, a children’s play area, and a great open lawn.

Broadway, Capitol Hill’s main attraction, is one of the busiest streets in Seattle. It’s alive with restaurants, shops, cafes, salons and clubs. Capitol Hill has been dubbed the Northwest’s closest thing to Manhattan’s Upper West Side, and hosts the annual Gay and Lesbian Parade each year. The west side of Capitol Hill offers a quick shot downtown, either by bus, car or on foot.  If you climb the hill to the east, a more tranquil mood is found on 15th  Avenue. This Northwest section is settled with large classic Seattle homes, tree lined streets and a thriving collection of schools.

Capitol Hill truly embodies something for everyone.

"We first met Johnine and Gaile when we were buying our first home. Since then, our family grew so we sold our first house and bought a bigger one that was closer to our preferred school. Throughout the 11 years that we’ve known them, the Real Estate Gals have been very willing to give us advice as we do our home improvements. They’re a dynamic duo: Johnine helped us figure out our needs and did all the negotiating, while Gaile found us lots of great houses to look at." - Judy Aks & Diana PallaisRead More...
