This adorable neighborhood spreads itself cozily over a valley that rises to a crest in the north, where there are views of Lake Washington and the Cascade Mountain range.
Wedgwood homes are established and well-lived in. Styles include: mid-century, brick, ramblers and multi-stories residences. The community has a tucked-away semi-suburban feel. It’s hard to imagine you’re living in the middle of a big city. Even the business district, 35th Street, holds on to an old-world charm with standbys that have been around forever, from eateries and ale houses to retail stores and community centers.
Homes here are divided by white picket fences or hedges. The yards range from being neatly manicured to corner gardens bursting with flowers to lawns speckled with daisies. There is an open air sense of blue sky here, with clusters of trees and shady streets. There’s almost no new construction, and one gets the sense there’s not a lot of turnover. Even the new residents who come in and make upgrades, keep the design respectable within the aesthetics of the community.

"We first met Johnine and Gaile when we were buying our first home. Since then, our family grew so we sold our first house and bought a bigger one that was closer to our preferred school. Throughout the 11 years that we’ve known them, the Real Estate Gals have been very willing to give us advice as we do our home improvements. They’re a dynamic duo: Johnine helped us figure out our needs and did all the negotiating, while Gaile found us lots of great houses to look at." - Judy Aks & Diana PallaisRead More...
